Obituary of Michael Chad Strickland

Michael Chad Strickland, 37, of Auburndale, FL passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 in Gainesville, FL due to complications from cancer. Born August 4, 1975 in Winter Haven, FL he was a lifelong resident of Polk County. He was of the Christian Faith and had worked in insurance sales for State Farm. He is survived by: a son, Mikey Strickland, Jr. of Lakeland; his mother, Pamela (Rick) Little of Lakeland; his father, Michael S. Strickland of Auburndale; a sister, Rickie (Jerry) King of Lakeland; his maternal grandmother, "Nana" Rosie Lawrence; Several aunts and uncles, Sharon (David) Minton, Darryl (Mary) Lawrence, Kristy (Charlie) Bearden, Kelly (Gary) Tyer, Leon (Frances) Strickland, Rhonda Pearson and Cheryl (Ricky) Hargrove; and numerous cousins. A memorial service will be held from 4:00pm till 7:00pm, Saturday, Feb. 23rd ,2013 at the Auburndale Yacht Club.
