Obituary of Nellie Belle Nicks

DAVENPORT - Nellie Belle Nicks, 91, of Davenport died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Life Care Center of Winter Haven due to natural causes. She was born May 15, 1921 in Statesboro, GA to Steve and Dora (Joyner) Miller. Mrs. Nicks was a homemaker who loved to cook and sew and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Johnnie E. Nicks; and daughter Barbara Ann Deshaso. Survivors include son Johnnie G. (Nacy) Nicks of Davenport; sister Orie (Bill) Browning of Franklin, NC; grandchildren Dwayne Nicks of Orlando, Lucinda Nicks of Winter Haven and Sherry Teague White of GA; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 9-10 AM with Services at 10 AM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care Haines City. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 2 PM.
