Obituary of Harold Walter Christiansen

Harold Walter Christiansen, 94, of Winter Haven, FL passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at the New Horizon Share Home in Winter Haven. Born February 7, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY, he moved to Spring hill, FL in 1995 from Connecticut and moved to Winter Haven in 2006. He was a retired Police Officer for the City of New York and also was a retired Master Machinist for the General Dynamics Electric Boat Company. Mr. Christiansen was of the Protestant Faith, was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Navy, and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge F.& A.M. in Long Island, NY. Preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Edna Dougherty Christiansen in 1971, he is survived by: a son, Robert Walter Christiansen and his wife Mary of Winter Haven; a grandson, Ian R.H. Christiansen serving in the U.S. Air Force and his wife Brittany and a great-granddaughter, Taegan Rose. An inurnment service will be held at a later date in Long Island, New York when he is placed with his wife.
