Obituary of Edward Johnson

Edward E. "Ed" Johnson of Haines City, Florida passed away on April 18, 2013 in Lakeland, Florida. He was 89. Ed was born on March 30, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Elisha E. and Ellen M. Taylor Johnson and moved to the area in the 1940's from Pennsylvania. He was retired after some 35 plus years working as a U.S.D.A. fruit and vegetable inspector and was a veteran of the US Navy. Ed was also a member of Westside Baptist Church in Haines City and in his spare time he loved crossword puzzles and he was an avid reader as well. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Nancy Evelyn Johnson. Ed is survived by his son, Mark Johnson of Haines City; grandchildren, Mark Johnson, Jr., Christopher Johnson, Joshua Johnson and 6 great grandchildren. A visitation will be Monday, April 22, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.
