Obituary of Julian Rivera

Julian Rivera of Davenport, Florida, formerly of Connecticut, Illinois and Puerto Rico, passed away on May 1, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida. He was 72. Julian was born on June 19, 1940 in Cidra, Puerto Rico and moved to Davenport in July of 2004 from Connecticut. He worked as a setup man with Stanley Works of Connecticut and Special Gear of Chicago, Illinois. Julian was an Eucharist Minister and a member of St Ann Catholic Church of Haines City, Florida, as well as a member of the Domino Club in Hartford, Connecticut, past member of St. Mary's Church in New Britain, Connecticut and St. John Berchman's Church of Chicago, Illinois. He is predeceased by his parents, Senora Epifania "Fana" Gonzalez and Senor Modesto Rivera as well as brothers, Balta Rivera and Carlos Rivera. Julian is survived by his wife, Senora Irma Rivera of 39 years; sons, Mr. Edwin Rivera of Connecticut, Mr. Saul Hernandez of Connecticut; daughters, Mrs. Ruth Evelyn Ortiz of Connecticut, Mrs. Maritza Capo of Connecticut, Mrs. Maria Santos of Delaware, Mrs. Lizaida Collazo of Connecticut; brothers, Jose Rivera, Modesto Rivera, Pedro Rivera, Manuel Rivera, Sixto Rivera, Luis Rivera, Benigno Rivera all of Puerto Rico; sisters, Carmen Rivera, Norma Rivera, Socorro Rivera, Yolando Rivera all of Puerto Rico; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. A visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. with the Funeral Mass to follow at 3:00 P.M. all at St Ann Catholic Church.
