Georgia Marguerite Stanton-Copps, 97, of Winter Haven, FL went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 28, 2013 at her residence. Born May 18, 1916 in New York City, NY to Harry s Roberts, Jr. and Marguerite Schumann Roberts, she moved to Winter Haven in 1976 from Avon Park. She was a retired Medical Secretary and had volunteered at Winter Haven Hospital, where she was a "Pink Lady" for many years until she was no longer able. Georgia loved thunderstorms and her passing was accompanied by a rolling peal of thunder when the skies opened up. As her spirit soared towards God her passage was heralded by another clap of thunder. The angels welcomed her with open arms and her spirit lit up the heavens. She lives on in our hearts and memories forever. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, July 1, 2013 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winter Haven.
