Obituary of Laurence L. Formella

Laurence Louis "Larry" Formella of Haines City passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Winter Haven Hospital. He was 88. A native of Kansas City, KS, born October 4, 1924 to Louis and Berneice Lucas Formella, Larry moved here in 1999 from Shavertown, PA. He was a retired Machine Operator from Owens-Corning; a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II; a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Haines City, and Larry was an avid bowler. Larry was preceded in death by his wife: Anastasia "Nell" Formella. He is survived by his children: Jacqueline (Tony) Piotrowski of Winter Haven, FL; Marie A. (Gary) Bradley of Kansas City, MO; Lawrence (Marilyn) Formella of Kansas City, MO; Cynthia (Glen) Peterman of Kansas City, MO; Joseph (Linda) Formella of Bradenton, FL. Larry also leaves behind 13 Grandchildren, and 12 Great-Grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at St. Matthew's Catholic Church of Winter Haven.
