Obituary of Ruth Lucille Turner

Ruth L. Turner, 92, of Winter Haven, FL died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Life Care Center of Winter Haven due to heart failure. Born April 18, 1921 in Marengo, IL she moved to Winter Haven in 1983 from Eureka, IL. She was retired from the First Bank of Eureka where she was a Bank Clerk. She was a member of the Eureka Christian Church and was a member of the Lakeview Club in Eureka, IL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Turner in 2005; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by: 2 daughters, Judy Butcher and her husband Bob of Winter Haven, FL and Bonnie Frost and her husband Bob of Goodfield, IL; 6 grandchildren, Lisa ( Jeff ) Schlarbaum of Broomfield, CO, Kevin (Julie) Wettstein of Houston, TX, Teresa (H.L.) Hirstein of Goodfield, IL, Tim (Kim) Getz, Tammy Mayhall, and Robin (Mark) Honeg of Eureka, IL; 19 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made in her name to Cornerstone Hospice, 2590 Havendale Blvd, NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881.
