Obituary of Kathleen Mary Piraino

KATHLEEN MARY PIRAINO, 72 HAINES CITY- Kathleen Mary, Piraino, 72 passed away on Monday, September 23, 2013. Kathy was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 11, 1941, to Genevieve and Peter Carroll. She was married for 53 years to her loving husband, Sebastian Tom Piraino on June 11, 1960 and raised four children: Donna of Suffield, CT, Richard of Anchorage, AK, Stephen of Troy, WI, and Laura of New York, NY. She is pre-deceased by her husband Tom and survived by her sisters Judy Ehrgott, Patricia Carroll, her children and grandchildren. Kathy was a loving wife and homemaker and worked as office manager for Shearson-American Express. She loved to host family gatherings in their homes in New Windsor, NY, Lake Wallenpaupack, in the Poconos, PA, and most recently in Haines City, Florida. She shared her love of books and learning, music, technology, and our country with her children and 9 grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and socializing in her community at Lake Henry Estates, where she organized day trips, played mahjong, cards, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. A memorial service will be held at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 901 Scenic Hwy, Haines City, FL 33844 on Saturday September 28th at 4PM. A fellowship meal will follow at Lake Henry Estates Clubhouse at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, www.bcrfcure.org.
