Obituary of Khalilul Rahaman

Khalilul "Karl" Rahaman, 73 of Bay Shore, NY passed away on November 4, 2013 at his winter residence. Karl worked as a teacher at the Leonora Government School in Guyana and after moving to the United States he taught at Roberts Technical Institute in Manhattan, NY as well as teaching at the Manhattan Technical Institute. After his teaching career, Karl went to work for the Town of Islip as a plans examiner then retiring in 2002 from the State Parks Department, Long Island Region, engineering department . Karl, in his free time, was an avid gardener. He is survived by his loving wife, of 53 years, Halima Rahaman; children, Fazil Rahaman, Sameena Rahaman, Saeeda (Christopher) Thompson and he was the beloved grandfather to Jackson Christopher Thompson and Addelaide Mae Thompson. Funeral services were conducted in Florida. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Assoc. 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22312.
