Obituary of Lacy Stewart

Lacy Stewart, 83, of Haines City passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 at Tampa General Hospital due to an accident he had at home 2 weeks ago. Born March 15, 1930, he was a retired maintenance mechanic for Quaker Oats in Poinciana. He was of the Baptist Faith, was a member of the Moose Lodge in Winter Haven and a veteran of the Korean War having served his country in the U.S. Army. Lacy was a beloved husband, brother, father , grandfather, great grandfather and a good friend to the many people he touched in his daily life. He loved to fish, watch NASCAR and spend time with his family. He is preceded in death by: a daughter, Delores Johnson; a granddaughter, Terri Johnson; and ten brothers and sisters. He is survived by: his wife of 57 years Lillian M. Stewart; two daughters, Helen Hasty and her husband, Bill of Haines City and Kim Edwards and her husband, Gary of Winter Haven; two sons, Carlton Foster and his wife Lillian of Davenport and Tim Stewart of Haines City; a sister, Sara Jane Zink of Loughman; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am, Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am in the Funeral Home Chapel.
