Obituary of John Katopodes

John Katopodes, 92, of Auburndale, FL passed away on December 8, 2013 at his residence. He was born on November 22, 1921 in Newark, NJ to Peter and Olga Katopodes and moved to Auburndale in 1977. John was retired from the New York Police Department and was a US Marine Corp Veteran of WW II where he participated in the battle at Okinawa. His hobbies included his love of fishing, playing cards and baseball. He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Georgette Katopodes; sons, James and Peter Katopodes and granddaughter Ciara Katopodes. His final resting place will be at FL National Cemetery.
