Obituary of Lois Phyllis Deane

Lois P. Deane, 86, of Winter Haven, FL passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure. Born April 28, 1927 in Fall River, MA she moved here 7 years ago from Portsmouth, RI. She was an avid Painter/Artist and seamstress and was a member of the Four Lakes Ladies Auxiliary in Winter Haven. Lois has had many occupations through the years, including: the Lois Deane Radio Show on WALE in the 1950's; President of the South Eastern New England Ceramic Assn and Master Teacher; the Newport Naval War College; Owner of Viking Ceramics in Portsmouth, RI and lastly as an Administrative Assistant for Position One School of Dance. Preceded in death by her husband, Lester in 2006, she is survived by: a daughter, Lorna Rozon and her husband Wayne of Winter Haven, FL; a son, Lester Bruce Deane and his wife Lenora of Winter Haven, FL; 3 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Her family will receive friends from 9:00am until 10:00am, Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
