Obituary of Norman Waters

Norman "Sugar Bear" Waters of Winter Haven passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 at Astoria Health & Rehab. From heart failure. He was 69. A native of Savannah, GA, born October 28, 1944 to Norman and Blanche Waters, Norman moved here 50 years ago from Savannah. He retired after 42 years from Mosaic mines (formerly WR Grace and Cargill). Norman was a member of the Winter Haven Church of God, and he was a US Navy veteran. Norman is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Faye Waters; his son: Jon Waters (Jennifer) of Winter Haven, his sisters: Wonney Kott of San Antonio, TX and Martha Wright of Largo, FL; his grandchildren: Jonathan Waters, Keylee Waters of Auburndale, Jada Waters, Preston Waters of Winter Haven, and his nephew: Ivan Davis (Labreesha) of Lyons, GA. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Winter Haven Church of God.
