Obituary of James Shelton Stalnaker

WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA - James Shelton "Beeb" Stalnaker of Winter Haven passed away on January 11, 2014, at his home. He was 82. He was born on December 25, 1931, in Winter Haven, Florida to Ralph Tullis Stalnaker and Nelle Hearn Stalnaker and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a very successful businessman and owned and operated Mobile home parks, as well as the Chevrolet dealership in Haines City, which his grandfather had first opened. He was a United States Air Force veteran and served as a mechanic for 4 years. He was a member of Lake Region Yacht and Country Club for many years. He was a man who had a great sense of humor and understood the meaning of the word integrity. He was one you could call a true friend. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Stalnaker was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann "Bobbi" Rush Stalnaker of Winter Haven; son Bud Stalnaker of Dade City, Florida; daughter Pat Caswall of Winter Haven; son Bill Stalnaker of Haines City; daughter Jane Stalnaker of Winter Haven; daughter Donna White of Winter Park, Florida; brother Ralph Stalnaker of Haines City; sister Jeanne Britton of Winter Park and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, in Winter Haven, with Rex Yentes, President Emeritus, Webber International College, Babson Park, Florida, officiating.
