Obituary of Pia Torra

Pia Torra, 87, of Auburndale, FL passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Auburndale Oaks in Auburndale due to heart failure. Born May 20, 1926 in Verona, Italy to Emilio and Maria Dalmaso, she moved to Polk County 62 years ago from Massachusetts. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven and was a seamstress for Winter Haven Hospital. She was preceded in death by a son, John Torra in 2000 and her husband , Mario Torra in 2002. She is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Johnson of Auburndale, FL and Irene Bellows of Lakeland, FL ; a sister, Maria Pasi of Winter Haven; and 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Selby, Lori Sheffield, Jennifer LoCurcio, Amanda Corrente and Michael Bellows. The family will receive friends from 9:00am till 10:00am, Thursday, January 30, 2013 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00am in the Funeral Home Chapel.
