Obituary of Glenda Faye White Thornton

Glenda White Thornton, 63, of Lakeland, FL passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 after losing her battle with cancer. Born August 12, 1950 in Auburndale, FL to Glenn and Sara Fleeman Childs, she was a lifeling resident of the area. She worked as a loan officer for Connect Credit Union and was a member of the Berea Baptist Church in Auburndale. Glenda is preceded in death by her father and a son, Timmy Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Roger Thornton; a son, Phillip Hughes of Lakeland; two daughters, Holly Denton and Brooke White , both of Lakeland; her mother, Sarah Childs of Auburndale; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
