Obituary of Lillian Madelyn Stewart

HAINES CITY - Lillian Madelyn Stewart, 90, of Haines City died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 of heart failure. She was born December 6, 1923 in Wilmer, Alabama to William Jefferson and Lula Tuma (Pierce) Bryan. Mrs. Stewart was Baptist by faith. She loved cooking, baking, quilting and had a deep love of spending time with her family. Lillian was a beloved wife, sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great- grandmother, and a good friend to the many people she touched in her daily life. She was predeceased by her parents; husband of 57 years Lacy Stewart; daughter Delores Johnson; granddaughter Terri Johnson; 3 brothers ; and 1 sister. She is survived by her sons Carlton (Lillian) Foster of Davenport and Tim Stewart of Haines City; daughters Kim (Gary) Edwards of Winter Haven and Helen (Bill) Hasty of Haines City; brother Harold Bryan of Loredo, FL; sister Betty Mattox of Haines City; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 10-11AM with Funeral Services at 11AM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport.
