Obituary of Merle A. Efferding

Merle A. Efferding summer resident of Green Bay WI was born May 22, 1933 in Bellevue IA; only child of Alvin Efferding & Helen (Burkart) Efferding, passed away on March 12, 2014 in Lake Wales FL. On September 28, 1957 he married Florence (Wilting) daughter of Bernard Wilting & Bertha Ripp at Holy Assumption Catholic Church in West Allis WI. They were married 56 years. Merle is survived by 2 children, daughter Christine (Tina) Wolff of DePere & son Kirk of Waukesha; 6 grandchildren Rachel and Rebecca Wolff of Green Bay, Kyle (Carol) Efferding of Muskego, Leah Tuft of Waukesha, Elyse (Noah) Kelliher of Mukwonago, Deidre Efferding of Milwaukee, & 7 great grandchildren. He is further survived by brother-in-laws Bernard J. Wilting, John (Pat) Wilting, sister-in-laws Jean (Henry) Kroll, and Mary (Greg) Anderson, as well as many family & friends in the Green Bay & Door County area. Merle was a retired pattern maker. He served 18 years in the Wis. Natl. Guard. While being a snowbird for 16 years of retirement in Winter Haven FL, he enjoyed golf, card playing, the daily crossword & shooting pool. Merle was an avid Packer fan following football, basketball (MKE Bucks), baseball (MKE Brewers). Memorial to be held on March 24, 2014 11:00 AM at St. Luke's Lutheran in Waukesha, WI.
