Obituary of George E. Ivey

HAINES CITY - George E. Ivey, Sr., 93, died Friday, April 11, 2014 at Haines City Health Care. He was born December 15, 1920, in Jackson County, Georgia, to Alvin and Stacey Ivey. Mr. Ivey was a long time Deacon at the Dundee Baptist Temple and was a Shipping Clerk with Dundee Citrus Growers Association in Dundee. He is survived by his wife of 71 years Madie (Williams) Ivey; son George E. Ivey, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Lake Hamilton; brothers Bill Ivey of Dundee and Herbert Ivey of Oklahoma; grandson Brian Ivey; step grandchildren Dianna Dildine and Carl Pope; and 9 great grandchildren. Private interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at a later date.
