Obituary of Barbara D Lucke

Barbara D. Lucke of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 due to heart failure. She is survived by her husband, Thomas M. Lucke of Winter Haven. She is also survived by her four children, Bonnie Meehan, Beth Sahley, Bo Mullan and Buz Mullan along with her grandchildren, Jennifer, Kate, Daniel, Sophie, Dylan, Brianna and McKenzie. > > Barbara was born on November 29, 1932 to the late Alfred J. Droll and Yarmilla F. Lizalova in Annapolis, Maryland. Barbara attended and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Annapolis, Maryland. Barbara and her children spent most of their lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Barbara was a gifted and talented artist whom began painting at a very early age and painted throughout her entire life. > She attended numerous master painter classes and workshops all over the country and enjoyed learning new techniques to display her art. Her home is a tribute to her love of art and showcases some of her favorites. Her creativity and strength were evident throughout her life as she was always willing to share her ideas and talents with others. She believed that life was a never ending process of learning and becoming the most we can become. She loved quiet, nature, and animals of all kinds, especially her dogs and she enjoyed her life to the fullest as she always reminded her children that time was very precious and to try to live each and every day to its fullest.
