Obituary of Robert McTeer

Robert " Bobby McTeer Real Estate Broker Robert "Bobby" McTeer, 70 of Haines City passed away July 24, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale due to cancer. Born April 12, 1944 in Haines City , he is survived by: 2 sons, Billy of Tampa and Vance of Haines City; a daughter, Delena of Gainesville, FL; grandsons, Patrick & Connor; granddaughters, Brenna & Jeralyn; a great grandson; 3 brothers, Hinson & Fred of Haines City and Everett of Kissimmee; 3 sisters, Doris Maxwell of St. Petersburg, Merle Jones of Lakeland and Shirley Chapman of Haines City. Robert graduated from Haines City High School in 1963 with a scholastic scholarship in financing at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He worked at State Bank of Haines City before starting classes and did his internship training there. Later he joined the Florida Gator Athletics Dept. in promotions of the Dept ticket sales and other various activities connected with the dept. He then later ventured out into real estate sales and obtained his broker's license, which he worked until his illness forced his retirement about 6 months ago. The family will receive friends Wed. July 30, 2014 at 10:00am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
