Obituary of Guadalupe Castillo

Guadalupe "Nana" Castillo, 82, of Davenport, FL passed away on August 10, 2014 . She was born on March 14, 1932 in La Grulla, Texas to Jose Montelongo and Braulia Garcia and moved from Cuevitas, Texas to Davenport in 1967. Nana was Mennonite by faith and a homemaker who loved bingo, quilting, sewing and mostly cooking for her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Ramon Castillo; brothers, Catarino Montelongo, Dionicio Montelongo and Ramon Montelongo and sisters, Maria Inez Flores & Maria De La Luz Cosme. Nana is survived by her sons, Jesus de la Luz Castillo and his wife Aurora of Mission, Texas, Jose Castillo and his wife Debbie of Hoopeston, Illinois, Joel Castillo and his wife Terry of Lakeland, Florida; daughters, Rosalinda Frankeberger and her husband Joseph of Davenport, Ruthie Rodriguez and her husband Domingo of Davenport, Rachel Young and her husband Gerald of Davenport, Rebecca Schrader and her husband Todd of Davenport; sisters, Susanna Montelongo of Texas, Eugenia Montelongo of Texas; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00- 7:00 pm with the funeral on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 10:00 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care Haines City with Pastor Sinclair Laskett of New Beginnings Baptist Church officiating.
