Obituary of Cecil Marcum

Cecil Marcum, 81, of Winter Haven, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL. Born October 18, 1932 in Drip Rock, KY he moved here 12 years ago from Texas. He was retired from the US Army after 23 years, was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War, was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of the VFW. Cecil was preceded in death by Mary, his wife of 53 years, this past February. He is survived by: 3 sons, Dwayne Marcum and his wife Terri of Warner Robbins, GA, Steve Marcum and his wife Andria of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and Scott Marcum and his wife Kim of Winter Haven; 7 grandchildren, Stephanie, Natalie, Ashley, Amber, Ashley, Autumn and Zachary; and several siblings. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30pm, Friday, September 5, 2014 at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations in his honor to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
