Obituary of James Alex White

James White, Jr., 40, of Celebration, Florida, died on August 31, 2014 of natural causes while surrounded by family and friends. Jim was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Voorhees, New Jersey. He attended Eastern Regional High School where he excelled in basketball and formed many lasting friendships. Jim went on to proudly graduate from LaSalle University. He was devoted to his family, especially his loving wife Jill (Meadows) and children James III, Alexandria, and Giuliana. Jim is also survived by his parents, James and Rita, brother Christian (Jacqueline Barrett), nephew Henry, and Waymon and Judi Meadows and their children and spouses. A unique soul, Jim's shining spirit inspired many. He was an enthusiastic and influential member of his church and community and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Orlando Florida South Stake Center, 3001 South Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32835. Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL. A memorial mass will also be held at Jim's childhood parish, St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Gibbsboro, New Jersey, at a later date.
