Obituary of Carol Bragg

Carol (Ginnetti) Bragg, 61, of Davenport, Florida died on November 23, 2014, surrounded by her family following a short but courageous fight against cancer. Carol, who was born in New Haven, CT on June 25, 1953, attended Saint Mary's Grammar School (Derby, CT) and graduated from Derby High School before attending ad graduating from Mount Ida Junior College in Newton, Massachusetts. Carol lived all of her adult life in Davenport, Florida after falling in love with and marrying Richard (Glenn) Bragg with whom she had two children; Cynthia Lynn Bragg and James Braxton (JB) Bragg, both of Davenport. Carol furthered her education by attaining Bachelor and Masters Degrees from USF in Lakeland in Special Education, which she taught for nearly 40 years in local schools. In addition to her devoted husband, Glenn, and their loving children, Carol is survived by her mother-in-law, Marjorie Duran; stepdaughter Marjorie (Sissy) Bragg and stepson Richard Bragg, both from South Florida; sister Kathleen (Ginnetti) Znosko and her husband Michael of West Haven, CT; brother James Ginnetti and his wife Susan of Windsor, CT; brother Thomas Ginnetti and his wife Theresa of Tarpon Springs, FL; and seven nieces and nephews. Most importantly, Carol is survived by her granddaughter, Clara Rose Bragg, who brought complete joy to Carol during the last five years of her life. Carol also left behind many close friends with whom she taught, laughed with, and loved. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her generosity and compassion to others, and her tireless giving of herself. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Calling hours are from 5-7 PM on Saturday, November 29th, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care Haines City. A Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
