Obituary of Phillip Lee Elam

Phillip Lee Elam, 55, of Winter Haven passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Born August 18, 1959 in Daytona Beach, FL he was a lifetime resident of the Winter Haven area. He worked as a property manager, was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church and was a veteran of the US Navy. Phillip was also a Board Member of Meals on Wheels in Winter Haven, did volunteer work for many organizations including CURE for Cancer and was a member of the Bible Study Group at church. He is survived by: 2 sons, Brandon Elam and Nick Elam of Winter Haven; a brother, B. Lee Elam of Brandon, FL; and a grandson, David Dean Elam. Services will be held at 10:00am, Monday, December 22, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, 327 Ave. G, SE, Winter Haven. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. The family has requested that donations be made to cover his funeral expenses to Oak Ridge Funeral Care.
