Obituary of Ann Spearman Powers

LAKE HAMILTON - Ann Spearman Powers died peacefully the evening of December 26, 2014 from cancer. Born in Pelzer, SC, she spent many years in Pickens, SC, before retiring to Lake Hamilton, FL. Ann was the wife of David Allen Powers. For 56 years they were the model of love and faithfulness. Kim Powers Free and David Powers were her children, and she could not have loved them more. Andrew Morgan and Felicia Powers, her grandchildren, shared great joy in their relationship with their "Annma". Ann had a unique gift of making friends. She had too many to count. Her faith in God was her foundation and she always found tangible ways to express it daily. She will be remembered for her genuine and warm heart, infectious laugh, generosity, and intense love for family and friends. The family wishes to thank many for their kind support in Ann's battle with cancer over the last two years. For those wishing to remember Ann with family and friends, a memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Pickens Presbyterian Church, 311 West Main Street, Pickens, SC and a second service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Lake Hamilton Presbyterian Church, 316 West Main Street, Lake Hamilton, FL.
