Obituary of Dorothy Bolin Coffman

Dorothy Bolin Coffman, 85, of Winter Haven passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Astoria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Winter Haven. Born April 18, 1929 in Athens, AL she moved here in 1955. She worked at Snivelys and Bagley Baits and Robert Brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Louis Coffman, a son, J.L. Coffman, her parents, James Monroe and Laura Sledge Bolin and 2 grandsons, Michael Shane and Christopher Dion Coffman. She is survived by 2 sons, Jimmy (Nancy) Coffman of Lakeland, FL and Roger (Fay) Coffman of Vero Beach, FL; a daughter, Brenda Kay Coffman of Winter Haven; a daughter-in-law, Lorene Coffman; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She loved telling old stories about growing up on a farm to the grand kids, loved playing bingo and talking to people. She never met a stranger and will be missed very much. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be at 2:00pm, Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
