Obituary of Edward Harrison

Edward "Eddie" Harrison of Lake Wales, Florida passed away on December 29, 2014. He was 63. Eddie was born in Samson, Alabama and was a lifelong resident of Polk County, Florida. He was of the Baptist faith and had worked for Florida Caribbean Distillers for some 20 years and when his family was asked for his actual occupation it was best described as a "Jack of all Trades." In his spare time Eddie loved to fish, taking anyone who would go with him, as well as spending countless hours in his backyard shop, earning him the title of "Master Craftsman." Eddie was also widely known for his barbeques that he built as well as his talents in barbequing on those grills, in his later days he took up gardening. Eddie is predeceased by his father Edward Harrison and is survived by his wife, of 45 and a half years, Rosie Harrison; mother, Sarah Carnley Harrison of Auburndale, Florida; daughters, Tammy and her husband Robert Peters of Polk City, Florida, Rachael and her husband Roy Cole of Lake Wales, Florida, Jennifer and her husband Bobby Vance of Winder, Georgia, Carrie and her husband Bill Tyus of Haines City, Florida; brother, Gayle Harrison of Auburndale, Florida; sisters, Marie Clements of Winter Haven, Florida, Theresa Atchley of Alabama; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A visitation will be on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 1:00 pm until the funeral at 2:00 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Reverend Paul Tipton officiating. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City. Memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital at St.Judes.org.
