Obituary of Geraldine Brubaker

Geraldine "Granny" Brubaker of Auburndale, Florida passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 at her residence. She was 88. A native of Wheeling, West Virginia, born February 8, 1926 to Lemmie and Molly Heinerman Gardner, Granny moved here in 1978 from Grafton, Ohio. She retired from the automotive industry after 20 years as a Tool and Die Maker, and after moving to Florida she worked in the Citrus industry. She loved her Flea Marketing, fishing, camping, and RVing. Granny was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Carl N. Brubaker. She is survived by her daughter Debora Steele and her husband Mat of Auburndale; her brother: Dale Gardner of Moundsville, WV; her grandchildren: Jessica Hughes and Carl Hughes, both of Auburndale; her great-grandchildren: Emma Jane Hughes and Jack Steele; and her step-grandchildren: Krystle Steele and Robert Steele. Visitation will be Friday, from 2 until 3 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven. Funeral services will follow at 3:00PM from the funeral home chapel.
