Obituary of William Woodrow Harvey

William Woodrow Harvey of Davenport, Florida passed away on January 21, 2015. He was 88. William was born on August 20, 1926 in Hendry County, Florida to Clyde Isaac Harvey and Della May Pender Harvey. He was retired from Holly Hill Citrus Growers after working some 37 years as a label machine operator. He was a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church of Loughman, Florida and a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in both the Korean War and the Philippines. Uncle William, as he was affectionately known by many, loved to go fishing and hunting in his spare time. William is predeceased by his parents; wife, Jewel D. Harvey and sisters, Edna Reynolds, Frances Goodman and Margaret Waters. He is survived by his daughter, Debra Harvey; sister, Bertha Mae Cooper; grandson, Jeffrey Harvey and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 10:00 am until the funeral at 11:00 am at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Pastor C.G. Vickers and Guy Wooten officiating. Final resting place will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Davenport, Florida.
