Obituary of Martha P. Tish

Martha P. “Tuffy” Tish, 75, of Davenport, Florida passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at AdventHealth Heart of Florida. She was born December 24, 1945 in Davenport, Florida to Burton H. Sr. and Mattie Hammock McGee. Martha was a lifelong resident of Davenport, worked for the Polk County School Board as a bus attendant and a classroom aide for ESE students for 5 years, and later was a childcare provider in her home for 15 years. Martha was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Davenport, Florida and a member of the Loughman Civic Center Committee. Martha loved the Lord, her family, and especially, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were her life. She loved flowers, enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and working in her yard. Martha will be truly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruce M. Tish, Sr.; brother, Hinsford McGee; sisters, Annie Lottie Head, Ruby Lee Williams and Mae McGee; great granddaughter, Emberly. Martha leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Terry (Janet) Tish of Haines City, Florida and Bruce (Brenda) Tish, Jr. Loughman, Florida; daughter, Angie (Mike) Shiver of Davenport, Florida; grandchildren, Tj (Cortney), Andrew (Ashley), Jaime (Paul), Chris (Wendy), Amber (Rj), Justin (Mariana), Cody Brian, Cody Michael (Baylee), Trey, and Jacob; great grandchildren, Liam, Jayce, Theo, Connor, Cameron, Lucas, Emmett, Isaac, Esther, Ellie, Elias and 3 more on the way. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida. Final resting place will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Davenport, FL.
