I found Mr McCaslin on the shopping web site ETSY. He made the most beautiful gingerbread wood cutouts which he sold on etsy. I bought a large bunch of them to go all around my wrap around porch and a larger one for over the stairs going up the porch. I loved his work so much and he was always so kind and helpful. He at one point told me he had been in the hospital but he always made sure to tell me as soon as he could he would get my order done....I was never in a hurry for my orders but he was so quick making them and everyone of them were beautiful and perfect. Today I went to see what he had made and he was no longer selling and his etsy page was gone...I felt something was wrong. I looked to see if Mr McCaslin had passed and saw his obituary. My heart goes out to his family and friends and I would like them to know this year 2023 I will be putting up all my beautiful pieces that Mr McCaslin made, on my porch and everytime I see them I will remember him. I have the messages he wrote me still in my etsy, even though I never met him, he was a very nice person and his work will be cherished by me and everyone that bought his woodworking. He will be missed.

Robert was truly a devoted Christian, a wonderful friend, and a blessing to Lucerne Baptist church family. I will always remember the fun Friday evenings we shared with him and his super wife Wanda, who is also my best friend. Robert had a great sense of humor and would often shared stories of his childhood memories growing up in Mc- Kenzie Tennessee. We would laughed, and watch movies . One of his favorite was "Tomb Stone". He would watch it over, and over again. He was a very kind and compassionate friend who will be greatly missed. My condolence to his family, his beloved grandchildren, whom he was very proud of.. He was definitely an angel on earth, and now; has gained his wings in heaven. Love you and miss you dearly my good friend!!! May you be reunited in Jesus s arms.
