Obituary of Shirley Harrison Chapman
Shirley Harrison Chapman, age 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL.
She was born September 6, 1938 to Leon and Annabelle McTeer in Winter Haven, FL and had nine siblings. She was a supportive Navy spouse, devoted Sunday school teacher, and retired from Watts Air Conditioning in Haines City as a bookkeeper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Holcombe Chapman and Paul Harrison, daughter, Paula Harrison and step-daughter, Donna Chapman, son, Gary Harrison, and siblings, (Eleanor, Ted, Bobby, and Arlene). She is survived by her brothers, Hinsen, Everett, and Fred McTeer; sisters, Doris Maxwell and Merle Jones; sons, Richard and Ronald Harrison; step-daughter, Wanda Whaley (Keith), daughters-in-law, Rebecca and Susan Harrison; grandchildren, Heather Dills (Robert, Adam, Ryan and Rhys), Jennifer Harrison, John Harrison (Yelena, Randy, and Valentina), Nicole and Jacob Harrison; step-grandchildren Shelly Calzada (Jaime, Alex, Gabriel, Oliver, and Norah) and Nathan Whaley (Amanda, Ethan, and Caleb); and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 E. Grace Avenue, Haines City. Visitation with friends and public from 11:00 - 12:00 noon; at 12:00 noon will be a service with Reverend Michael Causey at the funeral home and followed by a cemetery graveside (Forest Hill Cemetery-2646 E. Grace Avenue, Haines City); and then returning back to the funeral home for a reception afterwards (1:30 PM).
