Obituary of Norma Marie Horton

Norma Marie Horton 92, of Auburndale passed away on Friday, September 16th, 2022, at the Life Care Center of Winter Haven. A native of Miami Florida she moved to the local area from there in 1968. Norma was self-employed as a Horse Broker and Trainer for over 65 years and was of the Pentecostal Faith. A loving wife, mother and grandmother she will be missed. Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years F.O. Horton who passed in 2004 and by one son John "Stormy" Burns who passed in 2016. She is survived by two sons; Dell Weeks (Eileen) of Polk City and Jim Burns (Penny) of Winter Haven. One daughter, Danette Horton (Wayne) of Winter Haven. One brother, Steve Markley of Chokoloskee. Five grandchildren, Charles, Brock, Derek, Stormie and Kristen. Twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, October 2nd at 2pm at the Hope Equine Rescue located at 3805 High St. NE Winter Haven, FL 33881. For those who wish donations may be made to the Hope Equine Rescue in memory of Norma's love of horses.
