Obituary of John Adams

John P. Adams, 88, of Winter Haven, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Winter Haven Hospital, peacefully with his family by his side. 

Born January 11, 1934, in Winter Haven, FL, to Everett and Adelia Roberts Adams, he was a lifelong resident of the area and served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He was a citrus grower, commercial real estate businessman and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven. He was a past member of the Lake Region Yacht and Country Club; The Winter Haven Skeet Club; Elks Club; Ducks Unlimited; Florida Club; and President of the Citrus Showcase. 

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ann; his children, Dan Adams and his wife, Trudy; Paula Ann Forrest and her husband Jeffrey; and Tom Adams; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00am till 10:30am, Saturday, October 22, 2022, followed immediately by services at First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven. Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park in Winter Haven. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven in his memory.
