Obituary of Thomas Michael Hatcher

Thomas Michael Hatcher, 54, of Haines City, Florida passed away on November 9, 2022. He was born on January 17, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio to Michael Fred Hatcher and Susan Gene Waldron. Thomas moved to Central Florida from Reynoldsburg, Ohio when he was a child. He started his career as an electrician at 17 years old working for Krieger Electric & New Electric for a combined 37 years.

Thomas was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and camping. His family was his number one priority and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, who called him “papa”. Thomas was an animal lover, a beekeeper and his favorite color was camouflage. He enjoyed music festivals and listening to Rock n Roll, and Country music. His family will remember him as being an ornery, mischievous, and goofy, free spirited man.”

He is preceded in death by his father, Michael. Hatcher leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, of 15 years, Deanna Kay Hatcher; mother, Susan Gene Darden; sons, Andrew “AJ” Dysard , Gordon Payne, Thomas Payne and Austin Hatcher; daughters, Sherry Troutt, Heather Rodriguez, and Cheyenne Guinn; sisters, Kimberly Reed and Samantha Dodge; and thirteen grandchildren, Cayden, Dalton, Ameilya, Luke, Elaina, Bailey, Landen, Levi, Haddlynn, Leila, Reese, Bryson, and Elijah. He will be truly missed by all.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Gram Parsons Derry Down in Winter Haven, Florida from 1-3 PM
