Obituary of Jonathan Wendall Fosmoe

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jonathan Wendall Fosmoe of Eglin Air Force Base, Florida on November 24, 2022, at the age of 21 years. Jon was born on July 12, 2001, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Damien Fosmoe and Nicole Maggard Fosmoe. In 2019, Jon graduated from Park Hill South High School, Parkville, Missouri, and shortly after, in July of 2019, joined the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Control Apprentice, earning the rank of Senior Airman.

Jonathan will be remembered as an intelligent, witty, loving person with a sweet disposition and ready smile. He had a genuine laugh to accompany any situation and loved telling dad jokes. Jon was an avid reader and enjoyed playing games with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, target practice, golfing, Legos and robotics, and playing video games on his Xbox One with his friends. He loved DC and Marvel movies and comics. Jon was also quiet and often withheld his own feelings and needs, but he was always willing to lend a helpful hand to his family, friends, and others.

Jonathan leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Nicole Maggard Fosmoe; father, Damien Fosmoe, and stepmother, Carol Fosmoe; siblings, Dalton, Dustin, and Madelyn; maternal grandparents, Wendall and Natalie Maggard; paternal grandmother, Diana Burnett; great grandmother, Donnis Drexler; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jon was loved by everyone and will be deeply missed by all.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service with military honors at 4:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida.
