Obituary of Bobbie Eugenia Huntt

Bobbie Eugenia Huntt, 94, of Haines City, peacefully entered into her eternal life on May 19th, 2023, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL.

Born to Rufus and Julia Bacon on October 21, 1928, in Glennville, GA, Bobbie was the youngest of 13 (16) children. As a teen, Bobbie, her sister, Wilma, and mother, moved to Haines City after the passing of her father. She met Harry A. Huntt in 1946, and they were married on January 18,1947. They went on to have three sons and made Haines City their permanent home. Harry and Bobbie were married 59 years, before Harry’s passing in 2006.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Killebrew Manufacturing until retirement. But being an active woman, she got a part-time job at Ray’s Graphics, where she continued to work until her late 80’s. She was of the Baptist faith. 

Bobbie enjoyed many things in life, but none like she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was kind, warm, loving, and had the wittiest, sharpest mind. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandma, and friend. But her favorite role was getting to be a GiGi to her great- grandkids; Kiernan, Miles, Raven, Everett, and Adrian. 

Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband, Harry, parents, as well as all of her siblings.

Her surviving family include; H. Andrew (Tammi) Huntt of Tyler, TX, Alan (Nancy) Huntt of Winter Haven, FL, Phillip (Jerri) Huntt of Polk City, FL, as well as 5 grandchildren; Ryan, Megan, Sean, Sarah, and Erin (Sabri), and 5 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a life-long friend, Ruth Walsdorf

Funeral services will be held at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City on Tuesday, May, 23,2023. Family viewing is scheduled for public viewing at 1:00 pm and her service at 2:00 pm. Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Rest in peace, Mother/Granny/Gigi. You will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love you.
