Obituary of Raymond "Ray" Huggins

Raymond “Ray” Huggins, 86, of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on November 16, 2023. Born in Lake Wales, Florida he was a lifelong resident of Polk County.  

Ray enjoyed coaching baseball and was an avid golfer. He was very proud of himself for making not only one but two hole in ones over his years golfing. Ray was a proud Florida Gator fan, and you could catch him watching a game every time it was on. His favorite thing to do was to have his traditional Sunday afternoon pizza parties with the grandkids.  

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Mary Huggins; brothers, Earl Huggins, Wayne Huggins and Mickey Huggins; sister, Merle Peterson. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Donna; sons, Roy and Danny Huggins; granddaughter, Danielle Huggins; great grandchildren, Hunter, Hailyn and Harmoni; sister, Louise Huggins (Keith Pickles). He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday November 21, at 2:00 followed by a funeral service at 3:00 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.
