Obituary of Pearl Bland

 It is with great sadness that the family of Pearl Bland announces her passing after a long illness in Hospice Care, on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the age of 89 years old, in Jacksonville, Florida. 

Pearl will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kenny O’Berry of Warner Robins, Georgia, Darryl (Sherry) O’Berry of Winter Haven, Florida and Brenda (Charlie) Sheppard of Jacksonville, Florida.  Pearl will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Chris Walters, Kristy (Alex) Decker, Logan Sheppard, Leah Sheppard and Lauren Sheppard.  Great-Grandchildren Heather Masse, Christopher Darryl “C.D.” Walters, Britton Walters, Brodon Walters, and Jordan Decker.  One Great-Great Grandchild Keith Walters. 

Pearl was one of 15 children.  Siblings are Will Bennett, Eagle Lake, Florida, Johnnie (George) McGee, Lakeland, Florida, Earl (Caron) Bennett, Lakeland, Florida, Shirley Danford, Mobile, Alabama, Jerry (Kathy) Bennett, Winter Haven, Florida.  Predeceased by her two late husband's Estell N. O’Berry and Marion E. Bland, two sons, Estell O’Berry, Jr. (Junior), Ronnie O’Berry and parents, Tom and Vercie Bennett, siblings J.T. Bennett, Sam Bennett, Dorothy Givens, Murphy Bennett, G.W. Bennett, Jean Harrison, Harriet Holcomb, Gail Taylor and Mae Kitchens. 

A Funeral Service in memory of Pearl Bland will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, Florida with Lead Pastor, Dr. Kenny Howard officiating, Tim Cox, Minister of Music and Mrs. Cox, Pianist from First Church of God of Winter Haven.  Viewing at 10 am and Service at 11 am.  Interment will follow in the family plot at Eagle Lake Church of Christ Cemetery.
