Obituary of Bruce Mulliniks

Bruce Allan Mulliniks sadly passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the age of 69. Born in Waxahachie, Texas to Don and Aileen Mulliniks. Bruce was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, and friend. He was married to his high school sweetheart Lou (Futch) Mulliniks for 44 wonderful years. Bruce enjoyed being with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was always eager for football season to begin. Watching his Gators play was always an event, whether he was in his pool with the TV on or kicked back in his recliner. Bruce was a graduate of Winter Haven High School class of ‘72. He played tackle #54 where he was seen and recruited by the University of Florida Gators. While at UF he played for four years at offensive right tackle. Nickname “Big Mull” proudly wore #74. 

Bruce retired from Lowes a year and a half ago. Previously employed by Florida Tile, Orkin, Monarch Tile, and Flannigan’s Enterprises. Once retired he enjoyed “home projects” that could have included erecting a new shed, fence repair (or painting), repairing sprinklers, and a host of other “home projects”. 

Bruce was preceded in death by both parents and his son Brock James Mulliniks and is survived by his wife Lou (Futch) Mulliniks, daughter Lisa (Jason) Alber, son Brad (Karissa) Mulliniks and grandchildren Hylee Alber, Cayden Alber, and Evan Mulliniks.
