Dora Brady

Obituary of Dora Brady

Dora Brady, aged 87, a longtime resident of Haines City, FL, peacefully passed from this life into the eternal presence of her trusted Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 7, 2023, at AdventHealth Heart of Florida in Haines City. Born in Bamberg Germany on December 22, 1935, to her parents, Georg and Anna Margareta Waltrapp. She made Florida her home in 1975 after relocating from Baltimore, Maryland. Dora, a retiree and devoted Christian, found joy in gardening, plants, always praying for her friends and loved ones, and the occasional shopping spree.

Her lively spirit was evident in her spunk, charisma, stubbornness and love for fun. Dora not only displayed, but put into practice, an overwhelming sense of generosity far beyond normal limits. She always thought about the needs of others over her own. Dora's strength of will and compassion touched the hearts of all those around her. She will be deeply missed, but she is finally home at rest with her loved ones who also knew Jesus as she did. Shes not gone, just got promoted and upgraded to a better address.

Dora is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Jerome Brady Sr.; and son, Robert J Waltrapp. She leaves behind her sister Betty Loehlein, and many, many friends and family members, including her children, Juerten Waltrapp, maxi Waltrapp and Jerome Brady and wife, Kathy Brady of Haines City Fl.; grandchildren, Jeremy Waltrapp, Heidi Waltrapp, Allisha Waltrapp April Meigs and Amber Shewbart; great grandchildren, Silke Neller, Kinsley Conwell, Oliver Meigs and one on the way, Easton Shewbart.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 1:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
