Obituary of Martha F. Evans

Martha F. Evans, 82, of Polk City, FL passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, in Homestead Hospital, Homestead, FL.

Born February 2, 1941, in Abbeville, GA she moved to Florida as a child and moved to Polk City from Winter Haven 46 years ago.  She worked for many years as a cook for the Polk County School Board.

Preceded in death by her husband, Dewey P. Evans, she is survived by: a son, Kenneth Mitchell of Marathon, FL; two daughters, Paula Mitchell of Leesburg, FL and Donna Rowland of West Palm Beach, FL; a brother Wayne Keen of Winter Haven; a sister, Mary Brown of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9:00am till 10:00am, Friday, January 26, 2024, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care.  Funeral services will follow at 10:00am.  Interment following at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Polk City.
