Obituary of Kenneth "Ricky" Gates Sr.

Kenneth “Ricky” Gates Sr., 65, of Auburndale, Florida passed away on February 26th, 2024 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL. Born in Winter Haven, he was the first-born child of James Arthur and Barbara Anne Gates. He was a long-term resident of Auburndale, Florida. 

Ricky was a simple man, he enjoyed taking his granddaughters fishing any chance he could get. His granddaughters were his pride and joy.

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, James and Barbara Gates. He is survived by his son, Kenneth (Stacy) Gates Jr.; granddaughters, Autumn Gates and Hailey Jackson; brothers, Tony (Brenda) Gates, Terry Gates; sisters, Sandy (Donell) Parrish, Brenda (Ronnie) Holley. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
