Obituary of Claudio "Cano" Ruiz

Claudio "Cano" Ruiz of Davenport, Florida passed away on March 13, 2024. He was 84 years old.

He was born on November 8, 1939 in Puerto Rico to Francisco Ruiz and Adelina Miranda and moved to Davenport in 2001 from Queens, New York. Cano was employed for some 25 years as a Doorman in New York and he was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed spending time watching television, playing with his dogs and being outside, either talking to the birds or going swimming. What he really loved was his time spent with his family and friends, and especially his time with the Love of his life, his wife.

Cano was predeceased by his parents, Francisco and Adelina; son, Domingo Jimenez; brothers, Luis Ruiz, Felix Ruiz and his sister, Adelina Ventura. He is survived by his adoring wife, of 60 years, Flerida Ruiz; siblings, Francisco Ruiz, Wigberto Ruiz, Anita Miranda, Edith Ruiz, Esther Ruiz, Cristina Morales, Margarita Ruiz; many nieces and nephews as well as granddaughter, Leticia Vargas and great grandsons, Freddie Vargas, II, Freddie Vargas, III and Freddie Vargas, IV.
