Obituary of Shirley Joan Youse

Shirley Joan Youse of Haines City Florida died Friday morning March 29, 2024, at the age of 93.

Shirley was born on February 15, 1931, to the late Elwood and Catherine Kuser of Shillington PA. She was a graduate of Shillington High School. On August 29, 1953, she was married to Edwin Robert Youse of Jacksonwald PA. She had two sons, Keith Robert Youse, and Michael Allen Youse. Throughout her years she was employed by several local candy companies and worked as a nurse’s aide at Berks Heim as well as being a homemaker.

She attended church at Eplers UCC in Bern Twp. PA and in the 1960’s she was a den mother to Cub Scout Pack #190 who met at the church.

In 1997 she and her husband relocated to Blue Heron Bay in Haines City Florida. While there she enjoyed doing ceramics and assisted as an instructor.

She is survived by her son Michael A. Youse, husband of Linda M Youse of Greenwood DE. Her grandchildren Jason Youse, husband of Dara Youse and Nicole Mekker, wife of Michael Mekker and her great grandchildren, Dalton Youse, Lilly Mekker, and Olivia Mekker

She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Robert Youse, her son Keith Robert Youse, and her brothers Donald and Eugene Kuser.

A private service will be held at a later date.
