Shirley has been my Avon lady for as long as I've known her living at Kings Pointe. After Jay's passing, she had to "regroup" and did well adjusting to living alone and then moving back into town. I will miss her in my life but we will be reunited when the Good Lord calls me as our final resting places are right across the road from each other. My sincere conolences to the family in the loss of this great lady. Pam Pullen

I remember Shirley Wimberly as the grandmother of our student, Jarrod Strickland, at Winter Haven Christian School. She was such a great grandmother! She was always there for Jarrod and very involved in his school activities. Since then, our paths have crossed a few times. I saw her last at Ginger Lett's birthday party. She looked great. I am sorry for your loss but happy that she has been reunited with Jay in heaven with our Lord. She was a wonderful Christian example. I know she will be missed. Mary Brooks

I remember my sweet little cousin when we were children, always neat and a bow in her hair. AS compared to me, quiet and reserved. Her life was an example to all and great will be her reward.

Shirley Wimberly, a precious friend and servant of the Lord. Oh, how we remember hearing her sing the wonderful old hymns in church. Her voice was a gift from God and she used it to sing His praises. Rest in peace, sweet lady.
