Jim was a genuinely good and kind hearted man. He always cared about others before himself. Everyone that knew him loved him. He was a hard worker , his main priority was taking care of his family and he worked full time right up until the day he passed to make sure his family was taken care of. He rarely took any time for himself but he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved his job at wal mart getting to socialize with friends and customers made him very happy. He taught me by example to be honest , stand up for what's right, never be selfish, treat people with respect and kindness. I'm still working on being more easy going like him. Jim was my Daddy and I loved and respected him more than anyone. I am very proud to be his daughter.

I have known Jim for many of years, I will miss seeing him at the store. We used to talk about the world conditions and be amazed at the times we were (are) living in. We often talked about the soon return of Jesus, and how he could not wait to see his Lord. Jims face would light up like a spot light every time he would start talking about Jesus, we would talk about The Lord almost every time we had engaged in conversation. There is no doubt that man is with his Lord now, and just like Jesus, will be returning soon with his Lord, and all of us who trust in Jesus, will meet them in the air at the Rapture. This was one of Jims favorite Bible verses, 1 Thessalonians 4:13,18. (King James Version)13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Jim was the best guy to ask about anything in the sporting goods department. He seemed like an all around great guy and I had the pleasure of being his co worker for the last few days of his life. I will never forget jim and wish the best to his son and grandson.

My husband JIm and I both worked with Jim for his nearly 15 years at Wal-Mart. He was a good friend to us. He always had a smile and a kind word. We will miss him dearly. It is still hard foe me to believe he won't be coming to work. Many heavy hearts in the Haines City Wal-Mart family. We are finding comfort in knowing he is in a much better place. Our lives have been enriched for having known him.

Some people can say "I knew him and I worked with him and liked him." I and many more can say, "I knew him and I worked along side him and I loved him. He was my friend." We all are going to miss his smile and his laughter. His stories of the past, Haines City and his own, are going to live long in my memory alongside the memory of him. Gods' love and strength to the family and all who knew him.
